It's finally official!
What a wild week! I got to attend this years Conference on the Ministry in Abbotsford, which was fantastic! I think I probably get more out of re-connecting with friends, then from the services. It's so encouraging, and challenging to hear what other people in ministry are going through, and what they're up to.Wednesday night was the Ordination service. Bascially, it's a affirmation of God's call on our lives to be leaders in ministry. I was quite nervous about addressing the whole conference to be honest. Thankfully, we only were allotted two minutes each, so I didn't have to wax all that eloquently!
It was an honour to have Pastor Don and Pastor Walt with me as my mentors, and I had soo many encougaging words shared with me, which was very special. Then afterward, we celebrated at Boston Pizza! It was great to see both my Smithers world, and my Vernon world come together to have a great time!
Now, life goes on. It's funny how some seem to think that I'm going to change drastically from Ordination. I don't quite know why they think that. However, I'm becoming more committed to fulfilling God's call on my life now, then ever before. I know there are a tonne of areas to grow in, and my desire to be an apprentice of Jesus, and to see others make that decision, is hopefully going to propel me on into whatever this future has in store. Baby steps, baby steps...
