another Remerance Day come and gone

I was a bit torn this year whether to make the trip to the Muliplex to take in this year's Remeberance Day service. Basically, I was tired and didn't really feel like getting out of bed quite yet, but I did. It was good as usual, one of the guys read a portion of John talking about what love is and being part of the vine, which I thought was a really powerful portion of scripture to be reading.

Again, the service was quite emotional for me. I don't feel strong emotion very often, it's just not who I am. However, since my grandfather, who was a WW2 vet, died last fall, Rememberance Day is just that more poinant for me.

I got to spend the afternoon watching my cousins' son play hockey, and then go out to their place in Enderby for supper and to lead worship at their church called The River. Awesome time as always! The only downside is that they haven't been setting up a sound system, since they've only had a small group. This time, however, there was at least 30 people, so I had to sing and play pretty hard to be heard! Good times! Thankfully I only had to play bass Sunday morning!

After church I went back to my cousin's to watch a Korean War movie (I can't recall the name of it, but it was all in Korean, and about two brothers) to wrap up the day.
